Coffee and sketching
Today's post is going to be super short since long posts everyday have a tendency to get boring.
I crossed the bridge to Seattle this morning for a change of scenery. It was also a good way to get Phoenix to nap in the morning and not follow me around all day (he gets cranky when he misses his beauty sleep).
I sat in Cafe Solstice, did some reading, and tried out sketching (SO MUCH FUN) with a cup of coffee by my side.
After modifying my trip plan for the seventy fifth time, I headed out to a fun evening hanging out, catching up, and laughing with friends.
My small (or big?) realization of the day: My reliance on technology has gone way down over the past few days. I don't notice new emails instantly (actually missed a few and the world did not end). I also do not feel compelled to keep checking for new mail - definitely a move in the right direction.
