Hallstatt
On our final day in Salzburg, we ended up booking a guided tour to Hallstatt - a small picturesque village in the Alps. After a quick stop at a red bull factory (yep, red bull is from Austria), we spent some time walking around the village, clicking some fantastic pics and taking a ferry around the village.

On our way back, we stopped at St. Gilgin's, another little village where Mozart's mom and sister were from. Fun fact, there is a school here that is so elite that they have two teachers for 5 kids - so village may be a stretch. After some pics on the lake, it was time to head back.

Instead of dropping us back at the hotel, we asked to be dropped off at Mozarts birthplace in Salzburg. We didn't go into the museum here or at Mozart's residence which was across the bridge but checked em out from outside. Exhausted from the heat, we made our way back to the hotel where we rested before dinner.

And that was a wrap for Salzburg. We are now on the train to our next destination - Budapest. It's definitely the most crowded long distance train in Europe I have been on. We keep getting kicked out of our seats and weren't able to make seat reservations through the app which was weird. Anyhoo - at least we are almost there. Talk soon!
P.S. the bugs be spreading. I was next on the hit list.
