Last day in Budapest and first in Prague
On Monday, we began our day in Budapest by visiting the memorial on the river Danube called "Shoes on the Danube". Built by a film director, it commemorates holocaust victims who were asked to take off their nice shoes before being shot and dropped into the river. We took a few moments here to show our respects.

From here we headed to St. Stephen's basilica where we took in the majestic architecture. It was windy today so we didn't hover outside for too long.

And now it was time to take the family to a traditional milk bar. Budapest has had an age old concept of social gathering places to buy and drink milk. Cserpes Tejivo is one of the few remaining places that still did this - tasted some of their flavored milks before heading to Dohany Street.

And our last destination in Budapest was visiting the Dohany street synagogue in the Jewish quarter. This synagogue was one of the largest I have seen - reminded me of something out of Aladdin. And it houses a museum, a cemetary and a metal weeping willow tree commemorating holocaust victims.

After a visit to central market to grab some paprika and a good night's sleep, we boarded our long train to Prague yesterday. This time with regio jet and reserved seats. It was a comfortable journey and after checkin - we spent the evening relaxing. Today, we begin our exploration of Prague. Stay tuned!
